Looking Out For Our Community

During this normally festive season many families will be feeling apprehensive about the Omicron news and the potential impact on planned gatherings.

It’s not too soon to identify neighbours who might welcome a cooked meal or other practical support over Christmas and the New Year.
Where we each can, please offer to help those nearby who might be living alone or otherwise in need of encouragement.

At next Tuesday’s meeting of the Parish Council, Councillors will take a view on whether to re-activate Tolls Vols in some way. The Volunteers group is currently small, with no Helplines or Area Coordination. I’ll keep everyone posted.

Meanwhile, if you know of people who might become vulnerable or need specific help in the next couple of weeks, please extend a neighbourly hand to them.
If you are not able to assist them and you are concerned, please let us know (ideally, please approach them first and, if possible, obtain their permission).

Tailler Charity is also available. We are awarding grants and loans to families in need in our village. If you know of anyone who might need a little extra support, please let us know. Or, if you wish to donate to assist our work, please get in touch.
