DESCRIPTION:From 9pm\nEveryone is invited to gather on the Rec\, near the war memorial. \nSunset 9.07pm – dress warm\, bring a torch and a brolly!\n\n9.15pm\nRepresenting Her Majesty The Queen\, the Lord-Lieutenant for Essex\, Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst\, arrives in uniform. \nReceived by Simon Plater\, Chair of Parish Council\, District and Parish Councillors\, Royal British Legion Standard and Scouts in uniform\n\n9.20pm\nLord-Lieutenant unveils the Blue Plaque celebrating the recent planting of 400 trees in the village as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy – “Plant a tree for the Jubilee”.\n\n9.30pm\nLast Post\, to commemorate those men from Tollesbury who fell in WW1\, for whom trees were planted on the Rec a century ago.\nOne Minute’s Silence \nReveille\, followed by a prayer and blessing. (Bugler John Jones; Vicar Tracey Caswell).\n9.40\nRoyal Proclamation (Alex Neal) followed by Majesty Fanfare on the bugle.\n\n9.45pm\nLighting of the Jubilee Beacon by the Lord-Lieutenant\nAs beacon is lit a choir sings a Song for the Commonwealth\nThis ceremonial moment of celebration is being conducted across the nation at this time.\n10pm\nFireworks Display\n10.15pm\nCeremony complete. Lord-Lieutenant departs.
