We are the bottom rung of local Government, with Maldon District Council being the next tier up. The local District Councillors are Cllr Emma Stephens, Cllr Maddie Thompson, and Cllr Clive Morley. They attend Parish Council meetings when they can and act on behalf of the Parish in District Council meetings. We are fortunate to have three District Councillors for the village: one for the east and two for the west because that is part of the more populated Ward of Tolleshunt D’Arcy.

Our MP, the Right Honourable Dame Priti Patel also represents us at a higher level and keeps in touch with Parish and District matters throughout the year.
